Welcome 2015

Hello Warriors, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome everyone back to the club, we have plenty of new faces around the club so let’s make sure we get around them all and make them feel a part of the Warrior family. This is a significant year in the history of the WAFC as we will be celebrating our 40th year as a club and we have a number of events planned throughout the year  to mark this great achievement.  With our 40th Anniversary Ball on the 20th of June being the focal point, we have a passionate organising committee working on this event so make sure you get your ticket and tables together for what will be a fantastic evening. The club has put together a great group of coaches in 2015 with 4 out of 5 coaches taking on the roles for the first time, we welcome back Dylan Eiffler to the club as our senior coach. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge from playing and coaching at all levels of local football. Supporting Dylan we have Adam Hunter (reserves), Peter Barile (colts), Shane Sharp (3rds) & Ben Ibbs (4ths). Together these guys have already shown throughout the preseason a level of professionalism and enthusiasm that will help take our football club forward and onto a what will be a successful 2015. Finally after all the hard work over preseason on and off the field we get to start playing and watching football. Unfortunately in round 1 a number of results didn’t go our way but let’s remember it was only round 1 and the best thing about football is you only have to wait one week to get back out there and have a win. It was great to see so many players upstairs on Thursday night for the player dinner and then to follow that with a great crowd upstairs on Saturday night for awards is a real positive for the club. Let’s make sure we continue to support these events throughout the year. Cheers BJ.
